Rhythmic Gymnastics

Ninja Training and Martial Gymnastics

The men's form of RG is quickly growing! Imagine a mixture of tumbling from artistic gymnastics, the apparatus of rhythmic gymnastics and the style of a martial arts (for more information about Men's RG, click here). In Canada, the men's form of RG is referred to as Martial Gymnastics, and is enjoyed by both girls and boys. While many of the fundamental skills are the same between traditional RG and Martial Gym, FVRG programs will have a focus on a higher energy class, and a different style than other programs (less graceful and more ninja focused!). We are pleased to offer classes in Martial Gymnastics for ages 4+.

Ninja Training Class Descriptions

Mini Ninja (4-6 years)

Unleash your child’s inner ninja with this fun and fast paced 45 minute class. Designed just for energetic aspiring ninjas who want to run, jump and be upside down. Practice ninja like moves with a focus on agility, balance, and coordination. This class teaches necessary ninja skills needed for many sports and adventures, such as speed, stealth and agility in a structured class.

Ninja Gym (6-8 years or 6-10 years)

Ninjas will practice moving their bodies in many unique ways, building fundamental gymnastics skills such as handstands and cartwheels. To develop more advanced skills, ninjas will work on flexibility, strength, agility, balance and coordination. RG apparatus will be used to work on that all important hand-eye coordination, which makes our ninjas fiercely confident in other activities.

Registration Fees

All gymnasts enrolled in year-long programs will participate in the FVRG Year End Performance. These gymnasts will be charged a $45.00 registration fee, which covers the cost of registration with BC Rhythmic Gymnastics, and the club tank top (which will be used as the costume for the year-end show).
